Who I Am and What I Do
Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine/Chinese Herbs
Marco Leclerc, DAc., LAc., MAOM
Delving into the dynamic realm of East-Asian and Holistic medicine stemmed from my personal journey toward optimal health and wellness. Intrigued by the profound impact of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) on chronic health and pain management, I embarked on a quest to understand how these modalities foster a sense of well-being.
I firmly believe in the diverse pathways to healing, acknowledging that a blend of traditional, holistic, and modern medical approaches can synergistically enhance an individual's quality of life. My passion lies in guiding individuals toward their health and wellness aspirations, with a dedicated focus on understanding each patient's unique needs to facilitate optimal healing outcomes.
Board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and holding active licenses in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, I earned my Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from the esteemed New England School of Acupuncture (NESA). Throughout my graduate studies, I honed my skills through diverse clinical internships at institutions such as New England School of Acupuncture (Newton, MA), Pathways to Wellness (Boston, MA), and Shattuck Hospital (Jamaica Plain, MA). Additionally, my work experience at the NESA herbal dispensary provided me with comprehensive expertise in Chinese herbs, formula writing, and herbal pharmacy management.
From 2014 to 2017, I co-owned, managed, and practiced at Friends and Family Acupuncture, LLC, formerly based in Wrentham, MA, followed by owning and practicing at Wandering Goose Acupuncture in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, from 2018 to 2021. In 2022, I relocated to Newport, Vermont, to join New England Wellness Solutions, INC., bringing my expertise in acupuncture to a new community. Now, back in Rhode Island, I am excited to re-establish my practice in my home state.
I specialize in treating a wide range of health and pain disorders in my practice, addressing issues such as back pain, shoulder and neck pain, headaches, digestive disorders, women's health concerns, infertility, anxiety, depression, Bells palsy, peripheral neuropathy, peri-arthritis, autoimmune conditions, allergies, gastro-intestinal and respiratory disorders. My comprehensive approach focuses on tailoring treatments to meet the unique needs of each individual, facilitating holistic healing and improved well-being.
